Babylon has fooled all of us
Babylon had five twin kings and decided at last to duplicate herself into a mirrored alter-ego island city that existed on the horizon in the west. Her twin grew into a mythical island Atlantis that covered a contra creation story. How many self-proclaimed researchers had spent all their money into attempts to find a mythical island that was in fact a phantom.
As the Jews continued to reject the gospel that was based on the resurrected Christ, it was Paul who brought this gospel to Europe. In America Paul’s message evolved into a Hollywood cultivated style of a gospel. The contra creation evolved through the anti-Semitic spirit of Plato into the Atlantis myth that rooted in the European consiousness.
How many times more did Babylon trick us? According to Timothy Keller, all earthly cities are partly Babylon and partly Jerusalem (Keller, z.j., p. 5, par. A. Models of Life in the City, alinea 1). Andrew Scheil called Samarkand a displaced Babylon (Scheil, 2016, p. 286). Babylon could have easily integrated into fairytale like cities as Disneyland, Las Vegas or the Burning Man festival. Rome, Mecca and even London seemed to be modern versions of Babylon-Atlantis. Elisabeth Smart wrote her version of Psalm 137, By the Rivers of Babylon with her book By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept (1945).
The Babylon Candle (Gaiman and Vess, cited in Scheil, 2016, p. 292) is another symbol that turns Babylon into an Alice in Wonderland fairytale like decor. In Revelation 18:23 we read about the lights of Babylon. The apostle John saw these lights. He saw the restored glory of the City of Enoch that existed before the Flood. Henoch was the blueprint for Atlantis. In Revelation 1 John traveled in the spirit to our time. He saw our world and breathed our atmosphere. He saw an Alice in Wonderland style of a city that sat on the banks of the Euphrates.
Babylon will trick us one more time. It will be rebuilt into the capital of the earth and it will make the nations drunk (Jeremiah 51:7). In Zacharia 5:11 we read that Babylon will be rebuilt. I believe that this will happen within twelve years, exactly 2000 years after Christ resurrected from the death. Do not say this is crazy because we all had been deceived a first time by believing that its alter ego existed in a remote past in front of Gibraltar as an island named Atlantis.
This youtube gives a perfect view of how Atlantis did like. But the real Atlantis has to be rebuilt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1Hbht4iNQg
