Two parts
Did Atlantis exist of two parts? I am not talking here about Lemuria nonsense. I mean to say that Plato’s Atlantis exists in the Endtimes of two cities: Jerusalem AND Babylon. Atlantis was simply “mirrored”.
In my former studies on Atlantis I wrote that Atlantis was not an island but a “model”. If we connect Poseidon to the serpent in Genesis 3 then we can say that Atlantis started with an invasion in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were deceived by this serpent. Next time Jesus was put to test by satan in the desert (Matthew 4:1). Finally Paul and Silas were confronted with this Poseidon like python spirit in Acts 16:16. As the dragon in Revelation 12:9 is the serpent in Genesis 3.
So we see an evolving model that covers Plato’s Atlantis story. In the same way the city of Henoch was the first blueprint of Atlantis before the Flood. After the Flood we meet with the Babylon of Nimrod and in a later stage that of Nebuchanedzar. We meet with the Philistines of Crete with their deity Dagon who was Poseidon (Judges 16:23). We meet with the Exodus story when farao’s army disappeared into the waves (Exodus 14-15). We meet with the temples of Dagon in Gaza (Judges 16:23) and the five cities of Pentapolis in Gaza. These five cities resembled the five twin kings of Atlantis. Then we had the downfall of Tyrus as foretold in Ezekiel 26-28 that resembled the downfall of Atlantis. Tyrus was destroyed by Alexander the Great who was a student of Aristoteles who was on his turn a student of Plato. Alexander’s headquarters was in Babylon. This is where he also died. In Zacharia 5:11 and Revelation 17-18 we read about rebuilt Endtimes Babylon which will be the final step in this model. The big earthquake in Revelation 16:18 will destroy Babylon. In Revelation 18:21, Jeremiah 50:46; 51:63-63 we read that Endtimes Babylon will be crushed into the sea of the Euphrates.
But wait a minute. Poseidon’s temple corresponds with the temple of the antichrist that will be erected in End Times Jerusalem. In Psalm 2 we read that Jerusalem is surrounded by a sea of nations. This sea is figurative. Jerusalem will survive the big earthquake in Revelation 16:18. But the city will be divided into three parts. In Revelation 18:14 we read that Endtimes Babylon tries to substitute the role of Endtimes Jerusalem. The apostate jews who inhabit Endtimes Babylon are the whore of Babylon (Revelation 17:1). She is a blueprint for Athena of Atlantis. Of course Athena was a demonic mask of Astarte the goddess of the Sidonians (1 Kings 11:5). In Matthew 24:15 we read about the beginning of the tribulation. In verse 16 we read about the Jews who will escape to the mountains. As in Critias 109 we read about the uneducated people who lived in the mountains of Athens and who survived a catastrophe. John and Peter were the uneducated Twin Pillars of the old covenant crew in Jerusalem when Paul started a new ministry of grace in Anticochia (Antakya, Turkey). We see that the myth hijacked symbols from the Bible.
Twin cities Atlantis
As Atlantis is a model that evolved from Eden to the Book of Revelation, it’s culmination is in the Endtimes. This makes me believe that Atlantis exists in the Endtimes of two locations: Endtimes Babylon AND Jerusalem. Both cities resonate with the Pillars of Hercules and the twin kings of Atlantis. Plato simply mirrored Jerusalem and Babylon into Atlantis. But why and how?
Tzaphon
As I explained before I believe that Atlantis was mirrored from Endtimes Babylon (and Jerusalem) into an island that existed in a remote past in the opposite direction of Jerusalem. It existed on the western horizon where the mythical underworld was located (Yahuda, 1935, p. 166). Atlantis presented us a gnostic underworld where life went on in an afterlife. The Bible does not preach an afterlife but a resurrection from the death (Ecclesiastes 9:5). Osiris was the leader of this underworld on the western horizon (the Egyptian Book of the Dead, Geru, transl. 2003, verbs 11, 18, 79, 117, 127, 137a). Osiris was the same god as Poseidon. This underworld on the western horizon was the western dimension of tzafon which means “north” or “midnight”. Babylon was both the eastern and northern dimension of tzafon as seen from Jerusalem. Her hostiles armies invaded Jerusalem from the north. The sphinx was the southern dimension of Tzaphon and was named Lord Tzaphon (Exodus 14:1-2). Babylon was the sunrise dimension of tzafon while Atlantis was the sunset dimension. The sfinx was “noon”. Homer’s Troy was a palace on a hill that resembled the palace of Baäl Tzaphon on the mount Tzaphon (Mount Cassiuas/Jebel Aqra) in northern Syria. In Jeremiah 51:25, Babylon was named a mountain. This was a figurative imitation of mount Zion in Psalm 2; 48:2 and Revelation 21:10.
Python spirit
How did Plato know? In my former studies I argued that the classical works of Herodotus, Histories, books 1 & 2 on Babylon, Sais and Tyrus could have influenced Plato’s Atlantis story. Plato could have also heard of the prophecies in Jeremiah 50-51 concerning the downfall of Endtimes Babylon. There is another option. In Acts 16:16 we read about a girl who was demonic possessed with a python spirit. This spirit could look into the future and was connected with the god Apollo who was another mask of Baäl Tzafon as the sphinx was named Lord Tzaphon (Exodus 14:1-2). In verb 34 of the Egyptian Book of the Dead we read that there was a sign of a cobra snake on the face of the sphinx (Geru, transl. 2003; also: Matheny, 2011, p. 142). Could it be possible that this evil spirit had a slight notion of both Endtimes Jerusalem and Babylon and the huge earthquake in Revelation 16:18? This earthquake in Revelation 16:18 resembled the earthquake in Critias 108 and Timaeus 25. This python spirit would manipulate Plato’s mind to project both cities into an island Atlantis that existed in a remote past in the opposite direction. In other words: Poseidon was this python spirit as he was both the serpent in Genesis 3 and Dagon in Judges 16:23. As he was the dragon in Revelation 12:9. The word “serpent” – Nachash – means in Hebrew ‘shining’ (Bullinger, z.j., bijlage 19). In Babylonian/Chaldee, nachash means ‘copper’ (Bullinger, z.j., bijlage 19). With “shining” and “copper” we return to the mysterious reflecting aurichalcum that covered the temple of Poseidon on Atlantis (Critias 116, 119).
Conclusion
Atlantis was mirrored in time and space into a mythical underworld on the western horizon that presented us an afterlife. While the Bible teaches a resurrection from the death and condensed Atlantis into Endtimes Jerusalem and rebuilt Babylon. The python spirit in Acts 16:16 was Poseidon and transformed Babylon and Jerusalem into a mythical island Atlantis. Plato’s Atlantis resonated with Aurelius Augustine’s classical work: De Civitate Dei.
