Thorwald seems to have me blocked on Twitter. Thorwald’s new book is out: Platonic Myths, ISBN 978-3-7534-9212-4. By comparison, my Atlantis book is available on Wattpad for free. Thorwald’s book website reads about Athanasius Kircher’s Atlantis map:
…. “Das gezeigte Aussehen der Insel ist emptylich nach dem Geschmack der barocken Phantasie ausgeschmückt)”
Google Translate:
…. “The shown appearance of the island is only decorated to the taste of the baroque imagination)”
It is a pity that Thorwald does not see that in the Atlantis event nothing is accidental or has to do with fantasy or imagination. The shape of Athanasius Kircher’s Atlantis map is that of a harp, just like the Sea of Galilee. See Psalm 49:4.
In the review on the website I read nothing about the influence of the Python Spirit that was clearly active in Plato’s work area. Had this Python Spirit infiltrated Plato’s mind and tricked him into all kinds of myths? For example, Biblical systems shown to Plato in reverse? And what was the relationship between this Python Spirit and the idol Academos?
Why did Plato describe a large island of Atlantis while Plato’s predecessor Herodotus only described the loose elements of Atlantis such as Sais, Tire and Babylon? Nowhere on Franke’s website do I read the prophecies in Daniel 2:40; 7:19 & 7:23 which corresponded to Plato’s representation of Atlantis. I am sorry to say but both Thorwald Franke and Oliver Smith clearly missed many important points, as all Atlantis researchers did.
