According to Nick Redfern in his book The Martians, the Sphinx in Egypt is very old, p. 125. He cites Robert Schoch regarding the great age of the Sphinx. He dares to go back 7000 to 12000 years in time. Obviously, neither Robert Schoch nor Nick Redfern ever heard of the eons. The sphinx shows traces of water erosion from heavy rainfall. According to the Bible, we don’t have to go that far back in time to encounter heavy rains. Although the book of Job is set in Edom (Uz), we can assume that the weather conditions in the Nile Delta were similar. After the Flood, the Earth’s climate was at a standstill. In Job 1:19; 12:24-25; 14:18-19; 15:28; 24:7-8; 30:3-8; 37:9-12; 38:29-30 we read about storms, rain and hail. At a later stage, in the book of Exodus, we encounter the seventh plague which was hail (Exodus 9:24). Except that it rained unimaginably hard, it also rained heavily (Exodus 9:33-34). Rain and hail could cause erosion of the Sphinx. Then we are not 7000 years back in time but around 1470 BC. Nick Redfern does make a point when he writes that the other structures in the area show no signs of water erosion from rain. This could mean anything. Possibly the sphinx was the first to finish and immediately faced Plague 7. After that, the other structures were completed. It is also possible that the sphinx already existed in the time of Job, but in the Bible we read nothing about it before Exodus 14:2. In any case, the sphinx in Exodus 14:2 is the Baal Tsaphon, the Lord of the North aka the coming king of Babylon or king Atlas of Atlantis. isbn 9781632651761
